Hargreaves allowed to join Man Utd.... in 2010

Manchester United will be very disappointed to hear the news that Bayern Munich will not be letting Owen Hargreaves leave the club until 2010.

Thats the year when the defensive midfielders current contract runs out but Hargreaves would no doubt love for it to be sooner.

Man Utd have been after the England international who impressed in the World Cup but they have constantly been told that they should give up their efforts.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge insist Hargreaves can swap sides, but not before 2010.

"He is free to swap sides - but not before July 1, 2010," said Rummenigge to Welt.

"This is the last word. If I say this, then that is what it is going to be.

"He can swap sides on July 1, 2010 - no sooner."
