Arsenal target makes decision

Speculated Arsenal target Franck Ribery has revealed he will be staying at Marseille.

After playing in the World Cup with France and getting to the final, Ribery couldn't get enough of the big competition and wanted to keep at that level with the Champions League in mind.

Lyon held the biggest interest but Arsenal were also believed to be interested. However, Ribery feels that if he thought better at the time then maybe he wouldn't have said those things he did.

"I had always felt happy at OM but when I announced I wanted to leave it was only because I wanted to play the Champions League, and experience something else," said Ribery.

"But things have to be clear, my first choice was to stay here (in Marseille). But when I returned from the World Cup I wanted to remain on the same pace and play in a lot of competitions.

"Maybe if I thought better at the time I would not have said that I wanted to leave."

He certainly hasn't made any friends in the way that he handled everything that happened. He wants to leave, he doesn't, he wants to leave, he doesn't. At least it looks like he has finally made up his mind, but for how long? Certainly not more than a season if OM don't get into the CL again next season. I say good luck to the muppet.
