Arsenal agree deal with Real Madrid for stars

Sky Sports are reporting that Jose Antonio Reyes is on his way to Real Madrid.

It looked unlikely that a deal would happen between the two clubs as Real Madrid would not match what Arsenal wanted for the player.

However, the deal will see Real Madrid's Julio Baptista go one way and Arsenal's Reyes go the other.

Reyes has been desperate to secure his dream move to Real Madrid and at one point it looked like he'd settle for Atletico.

Good riddance. Reyes had the potential to be an Arsenal great. Unfortunately he has a peanut for a brain and the fighting spirit of a Hari Krishna. The Beast does not sound like he wants to be here either so I don't expect this to be a successful swap.

Arsene has been after the beast for quite some time.....arsene knows.....he must have a plan for him to integrate into our team style of play already in place.

I will be really upset if Reyes and Cole does leave and we still end up buying no one.. And to top it all the Hammers really look like they have god a pretty dam good deal... Why are we still floundering? Our Club told us all that money is always available even with the Emirates and clearly by are first few game our fantastic youngsters are still a yard behind and only hours left!!!!! I just hope TT is not thinking he made a bad decision!
