Bolton signing reveals Blackburn and Fulham bids

Bolton new signing Nicholas Anelka has revealed a number of clubs were chasing his signature this summer.

The former Fenerbache player had bids from Fulham, Blackburn and Bolton. However, Bolton were the only club to match the price that the club were after.

A proven goalscorer, Anelka has been linked with many clubs over time including Newcastle United. But, the decision came down to Fenerbahce as they were the only thing getting in the way of him talking.

"Bolton is the club which met the fee asked by Fenerbahce, in a way Fenerbahce decided where I would go," said Anelka to L'Equipe.

"I would have had the choice of several clubs had they come in with the fee.

"But that was not the case with Fulham and Blackburn who also were interested in me recently."
