Arsenal waiting on work-permit decision

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has his fingers crossed that a visa will be granted to Sho Ito.

The Japan under 21's international has impressed the Arsenal boss and a fee has been agreed with the players club and a contract has been agreed with the player. Now the only thing in the way of making the transfer happen is the international clearance.

At the age of just 18 it's hard to get yourself a work-permit unless you have exeptional talent and that's just what Wenger has applied for.
"I like him, I want to sign him and we are applying for a working visa for him on the basis of exceptional talent," said Wenger.

"Last season we had an exceptional talent visa for a Cameroon international, Alex Song, and this player looks another exciting prospect."
