West Ham joined by Bolton in player pursuit

Bolton have shown some late interest in West Ham target Steed Malbranque.

The Fulham player will not play for the club this season under the current circumstances. Malbranque has failed to agree a new contract with the club so he shall be free to leave at the end of the season.

Yesterday it was reported that West Ham are interested in acquiring the players services and today it appears that Bolton have joined the race.

Bolton chairman Phil Gartside revealed that Sam Allardyce had enquired about Malbranque.

"I know Sam's asked about him," said Gartside to Sky Sports News.

"He talked to Chris Coleman the other night when we were at Fulham.

"We always talk about people coming in and out, and I wouldn't rule anything out to be honest."
