Tottenham set to sign striker after medical

Tottenham are set to sign Roma striker Mido.

Egypt boss Hassan Shehata revealed that the player will travel to London to have a medical before signing, he will then return to Egypt today and join up with the national team.

Mido spent last season on loan to Tottenham and impressed boss Martin Jol. Then returning to Roma he was hoping to be a success there. However, rumours have been circling that he's fallen out with the current manager and so a move to Tottenham is almost complete.
"Mido told me he will travel to London to have a medical before signing for Tottenham," said Shehata to The Sun.

"He will be back in Egypt on Wednesday to join up with his colleagues in the national team."
