Roma nearing Tottenham deal

Tottenham defender Lee Young-pyo is on the verge of a move to Roma.

The players agent, Sung-Won, revealed that his client have agreed a transfer in principle and now a contract is being negotiated.

There are also rumours that the deal could see Egyptian striker Mido coming the other way. A player that Tottenham had on loan last season and certainly a player that knew how to hit the back of the net.

"Tottenham and AS Roma have agreed in principle to the transfer of Young-pyo Lee," said Sung-Won to the Yonhap news agency.

"We are in talks with AS Roma on detailed contract terms.

"You can consider the deal as almost sealed, as the only remaining procedure is the player's decision."
