Portsmouth boss delighted

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is hoping that Tony Adams would one day become the manager of the club.

The Arsenal legend has been brought in by Portsmouth to be Redknapp's assistant and Redknapp is hugely impressed.

After having a tough spell managing Wycombe, Adams needs to boost his confidence and managerial ability by working alongside an experienced manager like Redknapp.

"We're delighted to have Tony," said Redknapp in the Daily Express.

"He's a good man and it'll be a great experience for him to come here.

"I'd love him to become manager here.

"I asked him to work with the back four, but I don't think he likes to be pigeonholed.

"He works with me and Joe Jordan and we all do our bit."
