Fulham won't change mind over Malbranque

Fulham boss Chris Coleman is refusing to let Steed Malbranque play despite the whipping from Man Utd at the weekend.

Malbranque has refused to sign a new contract with Fulham and is set to move away from the club next season on the bosman ruling. However, boss Coleman and the rest of the club have agreed that under the current circumstances, Malbranque will not play for Fulham this season.

"There is no big problem with me and Steed personally - he is a nice guy, I think a lot of him and respect him, he is a top player," said Coleman to Sky Sports News.

"But I have said what our reasons are - as a club, manager, chairman, board of directors we are all in agreement - we have said what the way forward is at this club, that hasn't changed and won't and I won't answer any more questions on Steed.

"This is about the team, the staff and fans that all want to be at Fulham and that is the most important thing for us."
