Newcastle defender takes exit

Juventus have signed Jean-Alain Boumsong from Newcastle United.

Boumsong never really made a good name for himself at Newcastle. However, experience in the French national team has led Juventus boss Deschamps to bring him on board.

Juventus were hit by the scandal that sweeped Italian football and now they are looking to replace players that have taken the dive away from the club.

"He’s a true, pure-bred defender with great physical qualities," said Deschamps to the Juventus official website.

"He has good experience, having played for the French national side, and offers the
security we are looking for in defence.

"He will give us something extra at the back."
