Man Utd to give up hope on big signing

The agent of Bayern Munich midfielder Owen Hargreaves has revealed there is no chance of a move to Manchester United taking place.

Grill insists that we have to accept there is no way they will allow the transfer to happen but Hargreaves is hoping Man Utd will remain interested so a transfer could go through in the January window or at the end of the season.

Bayern Munich have been reluctant to sell Hargreaves who has been so desperate to move to Man Utd.

"There is no chance of the deal taking place," said Grill to the Daily Star.

"We have to accept there is no way they will allow this transfer to happen.

"We did everything we could to grant Owen his wish to play for United, but his only hope is that, if United remain interested, the deal could happen in the January transfer window or next summer."
