Distin deadline

Man City boss Stuart Pearce has set Sylvain Distin a deadline of Thursday to make a decision over his future.

Pearce insists that if the situation is still the same on Thursday evening, the defender will not be leaving the club. Pearce is afraid that any later than that then he will not have time to bring someone in to replace him.

However, there isn't much to worry about as Pearce believes Distin wants to stay.

"If the situation is still the same on Thursday evening, then he will not be leaving as I will not have enough time to bring someone else in," said Pearce.

"I've spoken to him about the situation and I believe he wants to stay."
