Tottenham to push through £8million Middlesbrough bid

The Independent is reporting that Tottenham are looking to push through an £8million for Middlesbrough winger Stuart Downing.

Tottenham have been keen on filling that left wing role and Downing has been hugely speculated to be the man to take it.

However, Middlesbrough have been keen to hold on to the England international but persistence from Tottenham could see them take the cash.

Downing is quality, he was injured for most of last season, and it has taken him a while to get back to full fitness, but during his first 2 games this season he is back to his best.

Spurs need to get him, and get him quickly, its obvious the team is lacking on the left side and although it will be alot of money, it will be money well spent.
