Allardyce: If signing doesn't happen, we'll move on

Bolton boss Sam Allardyce appears to be getting tired of waiting for Nicolas Anelka and may look elsewhere.

Anelka recently commented that he'd agreed a deal with Bolton, however nothing has materialised officially and when every day ticks by, the club is closer to deadline day.

Now Allardyce insists he doesn't want to put all his eggs in one basket.

"I just don't know if the Anelka transfer will happen," said Allardyce to the Bolton official website.

"Every day ticks by and we get closer to deadline day and we seem no nearer.

"Until I see Anelka in my office at Bolton, I won't believe it will happen.

"Until such times it is pure speculation.

"If the Anelka signing doesn't materialise we will move on.

"I still remain hopeful, but I can't afford to put all my eggs in one basket."
