Man City given relief by transfer news

Manchester City will be happy to hear the news that Sylvain Distin will be staying at the club.

There had been much speculation regarding a move away to Middlesbrough and it was reported that talks had even begun.

However, Distin has stated that he doesn't want to leave Man City.

"As I have the opportunity to talk about it, I will tell you the truth," said Distin to French television channel TPS.

"I am a professional, I am 100 percent City, and don't want to leave my club."
